”24” season 9 is a reality that Jack Bauer, as awesome as he might be, couldn’t torture into happening. What about the movie based on “24”? That movie won’t be out for a while, even though it is listed as “in development”. Will Jack Bauer continue to have a very bad week – or will the “24” movie be just as good as the “24” finale?

'24' finale

The “24” finale was about on par with the rest of the show – which means a little off. What was surprising is that, unlike every "24" season finale or "24" finale theory, Jack's reasons were rather murky. It is usually not difficult to figure out why Jack does what he does on "24". Save the world in whatever way you can. In the "24" finale, though, the writers had Jack go on a revenge spree, mixed with an attempt to kill a peace talk because those involved weren't perfect. This particular storyline makes as much sense as the president offering advice on the best perosnal loan rates to Jack. Sorry, but this "24" finale seemed to take the moral one-upmanship just a little too far.

Is ‘24’ season 9 going to be a reality?

There will be no “24” season nine. Jack Bauer has been given a forced day off. If you want more Bauer, you’ll just have to spend the money to get the DVD sets – and help fund the “24” movie.

'24' movie

"24" isn’t over just because the "24" series finale is over. There is already a "24" movie in development with the studio. The "24" movie has been in development for at least the last few months, and the final "24" movie script is still being written. The "24" movie will go into production for a 2012 release, once the script is done. The real worry of fans, though, is if "24" will do the series justice. Part of the reason "24" was so fun to watch was that everything happened in real time. To stick to the 2-3 hour format of a movie, writers may have to rip out the soul of that movie.
