Data off of Facebook is now accessible to any person with the Facebook torrent which was created by a hacker with a lot of free time. Ron Bowes wrote a web crawling code that scraped the Facebook directory for information about 171 million Facebook users. This torrent file is about 2.8 GB and is available to anyone online. Facebook said the Facebook torrent is no big deal -- it just contains details on users anyone can get from a Facebook search. Numerous feel like this is just an additional example of how easy it is to hack Facebook with all of the privacy issues they've been having lately.
NADA (the National Automobile Dealers Association) is a mighty force politically, and it lately had the chance to fight for an auto dealer exemption from CFBA (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) oversight. NADA spokesman Bailey Woods told Automotive News that House and Senate committees made the right decision, as the CFPB would make dealer financing for automobile loans more involved and ultimately more costly. Early returns seem to indicate that auto dealers should be dancing in the aisles of Congress.

Consumers have more protection from rate of interest hikes, heavy late fees and other penalties in new Federal Reserve Credit Card rules approved June 22. Credit card companies have tried to stay a step ahead of the law with deceptive new fees and penalties since the 2009 credit card law was passed. The latest additions to the Fed’s credit card rules become effective Aug. 22. The provisions close some loopholes and complement rules in 2009 credit card law already in effect.

More than two years ago, Guillermo Del Toro, the acclaimed director of Pans’ Labyrinth and the Hellboy films, was attached to direct the film version of The Hobbit. It is the prequel to the wildly successful Lord of the Rings series, written by JRR Tolkien. Peter Jackson convinced Del Toro to move to New Zealand to bring the film to fruition. A new director is needed as the financial woes of MGM studios has caused too many delays, and Del Toro's role as director has been put on the killing floor.
